With a Masters Degree in Jazz Composition & Arranging, and a creative musical style all his own, Tony has provided music for many of Fablevision's films and interactive projects. Tony composed original music for FableVision's animated pilots SwampDog and Cecile, as well as songs for the BrainCogs CD-ROM, played by the animated rock band The Rotten Green Peppers (also featured in the forthcoming EssayExpress software.) He also composed and performed the score for FableVision's new short film "Once Upon A Time I Was Him." Tony has collaborated with his brother John on many projects, including the Sticky Burr animated theme song and the animated short Cosmic Lobsters. Tony teaches music at the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School in Hadley, MA (www.pvpa.org) where he directs the international award-winning groups "5-Alone" and "Absolute Jazz". Tony's groups have been recognized by DownBeat Magazine as the top ensembles in the country for three years in a row. Both groups were invited to perform at the International Association for Jazz Education's (IAJE) Annual Conference, the largest gathering of its kind in the world. Tony performs on his own all over New England, solo and with his band
Yellow Brick Ed, an original
pop/rock band which delivers "insanely catchy melodies" (The
Boston Globe). Tony can also be heard playing trumpet with the Amherst
Jazz Orchestra. When not writing music, Tony can be found riding his
bicycle through the hills of western Massachusetts. Check out Tony's
solo, cross-country bicycle ride at www.rideforbob.com.
